This is a message from the Niagara Catholic District School Board, on behalf of Director of Education, John Crocco.
Over the weekend, Niagara Catholic created a dedicated Learn at Home page for students and parents to access while schools are closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. This page is specifically related to education and learning resources, and can be accessed by clicking the first slide on niagaracatholic.ca.
Currently, the page has information provided by the Provincial government, including resources intended to keep students engaged during this school closure. With staff returning to work today – from home, of course – following the March Break, we also have our team creating a document that will have more resources, at a grade/division level, for families to access. This is a work in progress, but we hope to have this list of resources posted on this page by the end of the day Tuesday.
We have also posted a letter to families from Minister of Education Stephen Lecce in the Communications tab, as well as information from Niagara Catholic for families about moving forward in these difficult days.
We will update this page, and our original COVID-19 page, which focuses on community information and announcements from local governments, whenever new resources or information become available. Please check both pages often for updates.
Please find attached the letter from Minister Lecce. Minister Letter to Parents - EN - March 22 2020.pdf
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all go through these unprecedented times together. Please pray, be well, look after each other and have a great day.
