Dear Agents, Custodians and Direct Contacts,
A letter from the Upper Grand District School Board Director of Education, Martha Rogers, has been posted to the board website (Friday, March 27, 2020). The letter explains that teachers will be reaching out to students/families during the week of March 30th to April 3rd. The focus of these calls will be to check in with the students and their families to gather preliminary information to assist the Board in the development and implementation of our Distance Learning plans for our students. The intent is to provide learning opportunities for our students by the week of April 6th. The letter also contains information about what students can do now between now and April 6th. The leadership team is working diligently to ensure that our students are provided with opportunities to complete their studies and as more information becomes available, you will be updated.

If your student is still in our district, please let the host(s)/student(s) know that the student will be contacted.
However, if your student has returned to their home country, your student/child may need to be in touch with their teachers to ensure that their teachers have the correct contact information for them. Most students should still be able to access their school email account. This is the email address that the teachers will use. If they cannot access this account, please let us know. Teachers will be posting material in their Google Classroom, so we are encouraging students to check there for information from their teachers and again, to ensure that they can access it from their home.
Please contact us if you have further questions.
Be safe and well,
The UGDSB ISP Team
